Your Escale account can be deleted from the app in a few seconds. Here is how, and exactly what it erases.
Open Escale, go to Settings, then Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm: deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Write to contact@escalestories.com from your account’s email address. We verify it is you, delete the account and confirm it back to you.
Your account, every story you created (text, audio and PDF books), their creation parameters — including your loved ones’ first names —, your listening position and your notification token. All of it leaves the active systems immediately. Local backups are purged within fourteen days; the encrypted offsite copy is purged by rotation.
Transaction and consent records tied to a purchase (up to five years, to defend our rights), accounting and tax documents (up to ten years), and support exchanges (up to three years). This data is archived with restricted access and is no longer used to provide the service. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
